On Thursday, November 16, 2017, the students of the Faculty of Letters attended the public lecture International Education: Connecting U.S. Students with South Africa delivered by Dr. Frances Murphy from Eastern Illinois University, Fulbright U.S. Scholar 2017-2018 at ULIM. Spending a school term in South Africa is an excellent way to study abroad and gain cultural experiences along with completing the internship requirement for a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences at Eastern Illinois University. Songs and Improvisation as Tools for Developing Students’ Competences in English Language
Deeply saturated by traditionalist and stressful practices, the process of learning a foreign language is sometimes a little bit cumbersome to learners. That is why lessons have to be taught in an interesting way utilising appropriate and interactive resources. In this regard, on February 29th, 2016, Moldova English Teachers Association (META), in partnership with Academy of Music, Theater and Arts, organized a wonderful workshop for university teachers. Over 20 participants from different universities attended two workshops. EFL Blogging School for Moldovan Teachers, 2016
On Saturday, February 27, I took part in the second edition of the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) Blogging School Project, hosted by the Municipal Library “B. P. Hasdeu” and the American Councils for International Education in Moldova. More than 120 teachers from all regions of the Republic of Moldova gathered to share their experiences in teaching English, enhancing student’s creativity and empowering their motivation through blogs.
